Why the Filthcast?
Donny: because its full of filth. horribly filthy.
Cyall Barcode: lol! well the name comes from a combination of the word ‘filth’ and ‘podcast’. Around the time I came up with the name, podcasts where relatively new and quite popular on iTunes, so it seemed a good way to go since it is available on iTunes.
Donny:how long ago did we start the Filthcast?
Cyall Barcode:the idea came about in december 2007 while I was still working at Renegade Hardware. At the time there was no reliable podcast for hard drum & bass, aside from the Lifted podcast (which was never really that hard, and is now hugely unreliable). I don’t think we had any other direction other than that we knew we wanted to do a podcast. I bought a Rode microphone, we got drunk on a bottle of Klipdrift and Filthcast 001 was conceived.
